customizing a form to show a review before submit

  • johnmrjohnmr January 11
I'm trying to build a product registration form that does a couple of things outside the range of a typical form:

    1. I'd like to be able to allow a user of the form to register multiple products at the same time. For each product, they would need to indicate a serial # (which I'd like to do an auto-confirm that it is all numeric and at least 5 digits), select their product type from a drop down list and give a purchase date for the product. I'd like to do this in some slicker other than just have 3 or 4 sets of boxes that allow for the input of 3 or 4 product registrations. I was thinking of a roll up that a user could click to expose another box to add a registration in to, or something like that. Is something like this possible with Wufoo?

    2. I'd also like to be able to have a user be able to review their order before submitting it, and have the option to edit it if needed. So I'm thinking that when a user clicks on the initial form, it should lead them to a page where all the info they submitted is listed with an Edit and Submit button. The edit button would lead them back to the form, where their info would be listed and they could edit it. Is something like this possible with Wufoo?

I realize what I'm trying to do is pretty complex - any suggestions on ways to do this, or things that might accomplish these objectives using Wufoo much appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi JMR,

    1. Perhaps something with rules might work, as described here:
    http://www.wufoo.com/2011/02/03/eventregistration-form/

    2. Unfortunately we don't have a way of doing that. You might consider enabling the "running total" option so that they can see the cost as they go along.

Thanks for the input - I'll check it out. I'm not familiar with the running total option you mention. Is there documentation on that?

    thanks
